Senior Analyst, Procurement Category Management
Entry-level Procurement position responsible for supporting low-complexity and low-risk basic contracts in alignment with our Procurement Sourcing Strategies. Works across multiple categories, enjoys negotiations, confidently challenges suppliers to secure best value, and performs well in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
Remote Work ModelThree remote workdays and two in-office days per week. Expected to be on-site in the Columbus, OH office primarily on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Job Description SummaryProcuring goods and services necessary to successfully run and grow our business is critical. Whether working to enable the processes that support buying decisions or finding the best supplier, price or contract terms, we bring expertise, skill and talent to the task.
Key Responsibilities- Partner and collaborate with other Procurement teams to manage intake, business pipelining, and data analytics, to provide a predictable, easy to follow and efficient procurement process.
- Negotiate the terms of a basic or standard contract, including conditions, clauses, and service level agreements.
- Assess supplier risk prior to contract and collaborate with applicable risk partners, e.g., Information Risk Management, for additional specialized assessments or necessary contract provisions.
- Perform and process a new or renewal contract according to procurement policies and procedures, including project documentation, approvals, and signatures.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reports to Manager, Procurement. No direct or indirect reports.
Education and Experience- Undergraduate degree in supply management, procurement, business, finance, accounting, management information systems, economics or related field preferred.
- Typically three or more years of experience in procurement, business, category management and contracting, or equivalent professional experience.
- Basic knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of supply chain management, procurement or other related industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and math skills required to negotiate with suppliers.
- Ability to work in project teams toward common objectives.
- Focus on timely communication, efficiency, speed and quality.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple efforts running concurrently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
National salary range: $62,500.00-$. Expected starting salary: $62,500.00-$93,500.00.
