You will operate within a dynamic retail environment, contributing to the overall success of the organization while maintaining work-life balance.
Within the expense and expense review function, your main goal will be to advance value-added work, support centre‑retail objectives, and improve efficiency and productivity. You will monitor and enhance expense detailing, cycle and innovation, safety hazards, and overall duty teaching. You will point and educate on various expense and regulatory aspects, focusing on group assets to support key work streams.
As the leader of expense and tax coverage, you will manage a team of specialists responsible for tax compliance, consistency, budgeting, bookkeeping, and cost reviews of retail and commercial transactions. This includes ensuring all charges are assessed, collected, recorded, and distributed accurately, and implementing SOX and functional controls. You will help residents and support teams with compliance, regulation, and client experience.
You will also protect target’s expense position while leveraging external advisors, championing controls, and driving professional services. You will drive a controlling strategy, articulate the vision, set priorities, and track progress for your group, and work closely with peers as a whole person from development to full execution. You will work with stakeholders from budget, procurement, innovation and product, promotion, supply chain, government, and compliance teams.
You will also work with external counsel, guide execution and manage the financial plan.
The role requires strong communication, a problem‑solving mindset, and leadership over complex deals within a fast‑paced environment. You will demonstrate maximum business intuition, detailed knowledge and strong outreach to stakeholders. You should be able to articulate your strategies and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
About You- Four‑year college education
- 2+ years of experience in deals or substantial exposure to a large corporate finance division
- Strong initiative and ability to drive outcomes for a group
- Ability to drive ownership, provide assurance, and influence results
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, especially in discussing financial matters with internal and external stakeholders
- Business intuition and client focus, with the ability to articulate complex accounting issues and impact budget decisions
- Experience with Vertex, Avalara, or comparable tax software
- Familiarity with process automation, RPA, and data tools such as Alteryx or DOMO
This position might be considered for a remote or hybrid work arrangement. Remote work means the colleague can work from home or an alternate location that is not an office, with occasional visits to headquarters up to 4 times per year. A hybrid arrangement may involve working both remotely and on‑site as needed for the day.
