PositionMcKesson Pharmacy Commercial Strategy & Innovation (CSI) is currently seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead and facilitate the execution of projects across our business. This role is remote with a preference for proximity to one of our key hub locations:
Alpharetta, GA, Pittsburgh, PA, or Irving, TX.
- Partner with the business to execute on broad strategic initiatives, establishing and communicating clear plans to effectively achieve expected results on high‑profile, cross‑functional efforts.
- Build and develop executive sponsor relationships; understand other teams’ responsibilities across the organization and manage to those roles.
- Lead projects through issues and roadblocks while anticipating and managing business risks, mitigating those risks by highlighting critical issues to leadership early.
- Shift between the “big picture” and project‑level details, working through detailed issues when required.
- Regularly re‑evaluate the progress of initiatives to confirm alignment with the broader Operations strategy.
- Proactively identify opportunities for continual process improvement across projects.
- Own assigned projects to achieve goals, managing scope, timeline, and resources.
- Facilitate meetings, create agendas, take project notes, and track action items.
- Manage and control project scope, applying change procedures when required.
- Follow project management methodology and effectively utilize standard tools.
- Degree or equivalent experience, typically requiring 7+ years of project management experience.
- Detail oriented and highly organized.
- Works well in a team‑centered environment as well as independently.
- Experience creating project plans and driving them to completion.
- Ability to work through processes, remain organized, and manage complex matters and multiple stakeholders both virtually and in‑person.
- Proactive problem‑solving and anticipation of issues.
- Quick adaptation to change and work in ambiguity while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strategic problem‑solving and decision‑making ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective cross‑functional communication (written, listening, and verbal).
- Ability to run successful program outcomes from idea to launch in multiple contexts with competing stakeholder priorities.
- Passion and enthusiasm for results and success.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project and Smartsheet.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Detail oriented and highly organized.
- Team collaboration and independent work.
- Strong planning and execution skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making.
- Effective communication across functions.
- Domestic travel up to 10% of the time.

CompensationBase pay range: $105,200 - $175,300. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses or long‑term incentive opportunities, based on performance, experience, and market factors.
