- Broad working knowledge of the global macroeconomic landscape, with strong instincts for trade policy design, monetary policy management, foreign exchange markets and cross-border capital investments.
- Functional understanding of governance structures across key economies, including policy development pipelines, evolving regulatory priorities, sanction implementation rules, and geopolitical hazards that shape corporate strategic choices.
- Strong logical reasoning and quantitative analysis skills, able to lead end-to-end independent research projects autonomously.
- Exceptional written and reading English proficiency, capable of synthesizing key takeaways from global financial media, central bank statements, official policy documents and peer-reviewed academic papers.
- Documented portfolio of formal research writings that combine economic and geopolitical contextual analysis.
- Hands‑on industry experience at multinational corporations, financial services firms, strategy consulting groups, international trading companies or government-affiliated research bodies.
- Previous work experience at economic and geopolitical research institutes, independent think tanks, internal corporate strategy teams or risk consulting firms.
