About American Payroll Group (AMP)
American Payroll Group Inc. (AMP) is a newly launched U.S.
-focused payroll outsourcing company under Castille Atlantic Inc. AMP provides end-to-end payroll services exclusively to businesses operating in the United States.
We are building AMP from the ground up and are hiring three Founding Payroll Operations Managers to jointly launch, structure, and scale the company.
This is a builder role, not a support role.
The RoleAs a Founding Payroll Operations Manager
, you will be one of three core operators responsible for taking AMP from zero to revenue.
All three hires will:
- Have equal responsibility and authority
- Work closely together
- Self-delegate tasks
- Be individually accountable for revenue and profit
You will combine payroll operations, process design, and client acquisition, and you will be directly measured on results.
Key Responsibilities Shared Responsibilities (All Three Leads)You will work collaboratively to:
- Design and launch AMP’s payroll services website
- Set up CRM systems and sales pipelines
Draft:
- Cold email sequences
- Cold calling / phone scripts
- Follow-up templates
Define:
- Service offerings
- Service tiers
- Pricing models
- Client terms
- Build AMP’s brand positioning and messaging
Work with the Project Manager on:
- Client service agreements
- Onboarding workflows
- Participate directly in early payroll operations
Use and manage payroll software including (or similar to):
- On Pay
- Gusto
- ADP
- Paychex
Once the foundation is built, each Lead will be assigned three U.S. states and will be individually responsible for:
- Identifying and qualifying payroll outsourcing leads
- Cold outreach (email, phone, Linked In)
- Closing and onboarding first clients
- Managing early client relationships
- Generating monthly profit within assigned states
Performance and compensation are tracked individually, not pooled.
90-Day Performance Expectations- Website and core systems launched within set time frame.
- Outreach systems live within set time frame.
- Minimum active clients per Manager by Day 30, as discussed with Project Manager
- Clear documentation of all processes
- Demonstrated revenue traction by the end of the contract
Failure to meet milestones without valid cause may result in early contract termination.
Growth OpportunityIf you achieve the set goals within the 90 days initial contract period.
You will work with leadership to hire a direct report to handle payroll execution, allowing you to focus on growth and expansion.

Ideal Candidate ProfileYou are:
- A builder, not a task-taker
- Comfortable with ambiguity and ownership
- Strong in both operations and client acquisition
- Highly self-directed and accountable
- Proven experience in payroll operations
- Hands-on experience with U.S. payroll systems
- Experience with payroll software such as OnPay, Gusto, ADP, Paychex, or similar
- Strong English communication skills (clear, professional, neutral accent)
- Ability to cold outreach and close clients
- Experience documenting processes and building systems
- Payroll, HR outsourcing, or BPO experience
- Startup or early-stage business experience
- Leadership or team-building experience
Candidates must be comfortable working U.S. business hours when required.
