Supplier Specialist; Remote - Residing in Phoenix, AZ Area

Location

Remote (work from home) within the Phoenix, AZ Area. Candidate must reside in the Phoenix area and be able to travel up to 80% of the time to suppliers within the region.

• Identify bottleneck and capacity constraints to develop improvement and mitigation plans for improved on-time delivery from suppliers.
• Acquire a vision of the big picture and understand that enhancing operational effectiveness is key to organizational business performance.
• Drive for results, consistently pursuing continued ways to accomplish goals and objectives that require extraordinary determination, self-motivation, and interpersonal skills to satisfy customers’ needs.
• Develop a strong understanding of products and the operational processes they undergo at suppliers.
• Generate and seize opportunities to break functional, operational and logistical barriers to getting products out the door.
• Work to remove barriers to business goals specific to the on-time delivery of parts.
• Lead tasks and projects to completion, including collection of Leading Indicator data: RM availability and on-order status, WIP tracking, quality notification closures, and sub-tier supplier tracking.
• Work with multiple projects and interact with several departments and various levels of management simultaneously.
• Manage or assist with process-improvement projects, prioritize project work, and support the needs of the core operating system.
• Utilize a project-management approach and process-improvement discipline to lead projects according to plan, including identifying and mitigating project risks.
• Gather feedback and identify new improvement projects in conjunction with Supplier Development Leaders.
• Actively participate in Commodity Days, EMMs, SEMO (Supplier Executive Management Overviews), and co-lead with customers and Supplier Development Leaders on the respective supplier.

Required:

• College degree or equivalent experience and at least 5 years of prior delivery assurance, supply chain, or related experience; or an advanced degree with at least 2 years of experience.
• Reside in the Phoenix, AZ area.
• U.S. citizenship required.

• Experience in operations, supply-chain management, or a related field.
• Quick learner, able to grasp the essence of situations and adapt rapidly.
• Strong relationship-building skills with peers and partners outside the team to enable higher performance.
• Open to others’ ideas, analytical, and able to turn innovation into reality.
• Flexible, enthusiastic self-starter.
• Proficiency in SAP and Qlik/Power BI.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
