Pricing Analyst
As a Pricing Analyst within the service parts supply chain, you will be a critical link in the organization. You will ensure cost integrity and maximize profitability by developing data-driven pricing strategies and models. This role requires a unique blend of technical manufacturing knowledge, financial acumen, and the ability to navigate the complexities of low-volume automotive service environments. You will act as a consultant to both internal purchasing teams and external suppliers to justify cost adjustments in an evolving global market.
Responsibilities- Evaluate the validity of automotive supplier part pricing, tooling, packaging, and contract requests tailored to low-volume service requirements.
- Develop and maintain cost estimates to provide a baseline for negotiations and financial planning.
- Calculate and explain pricing adjustments resulting from changes in manufacturing processes, volume fluctuations, and macroeconomic factors.
- Analyze large, complex, and sometimes incomplete data sets to extrapolate trends, establish facts, and draw actionable conclusions.
- Present and defend cost changes to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with financial goals.
- Data mine public indexes to anticipate market shifts and their impact on the supply base.
- 2-5 years of experience in Data Analysis, Cost Analysis, and Financial Analysis.
- 2+ years of experience using Power BI, Python, and SQL.
- Completed Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SAP.
- Automotive cost analysis expertise.
- Understanding of the manufacturing/automotive environment and commodities.
The position is currently onsite from Monday to Thursday, with a work-from-home option on Friday. This could change to five days onsite depending on leadership direction. The workspace is open concept, with the entire Purchasing team situated on the same floor. The building includes a cafeteria, and additional lunch options are available within walking distance. The dress code is business casual, with khakis/dress pants and button-down shirts or blouses acceptable.
Work hours are from 8-5 PM or 7-4 PM, with a mandatory one-hour unpaid lunch break. Vacation includes 72 hours for candidates with less than three years of experience and 80 hours for those with three or more years.
There are 10 paid holidays available after 30 days of employment.
This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00/hr.
