About the Team

Door Dash Labs is an independent team within Door Dash. We’re hiring a Senior Operations Associate to lead a team of operators to execute against autonomy goals.

We are looking for a driven Senior Operations Associate who is excited about managing a dynamic operations team leading the forefront of delivery technology. You will manage an AM or PM shift (7 AM – 3:30 PM // 2:30–11 PM PST) of our operations team supporting autonomous testing, bringing autonomous technology from ideation to commercialization. You will report to an Associate Operations Manager or Operations Manager on our robotics team in our Door Dash Labs organization.

This job is 100 % onsite at our Operations Hub in Dublin, CA with some duties in Fremont and Sunnyvale, CA.

• Manage a component of our operations
• Effectively communicate status updates to key stakeholders, including timely identification and escalation/resolution of issues
• Serve as an escalation path for issues in the field, to include incidents and onsite presence depending on severity
• Maintain an “and not either or” attitude when it comes to balancing business needs, costs, and safety
• Be an expert in our autonomous technology and help track and convey changes to it
• Strive to push metrics and add to them personally

• 4 + years of experience (preferably in the autonomous industry or with strong interest)
• Managed an operationally efficient team through multiple product phases
• A proven track record of operating in cross‑functional initiatives and succeeding in a complex and fast‑moving environment
• An analytical mindset and can deliver actionable recommendations out of complex situations; proficiency in gSuite, JIRA and SQL is preferred but not essential

Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

Pay range: $85,400 – $125,500 USD

• For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
• For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (≈ 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; ≈ 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (≈ 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; ≈ 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
