Sustainability​/GHG Analyst

Giero Consulting is led by a team of CPA, CAs and it also performs business advisory services such as Canadian personal and corporate income tax preparation, payroll management, business valuations and contract reviews.

Role Description  This is a fully remote contract-based role for a Sustainability Analyst. The ideal candidate is a bright, motivated and reliable individual who has recently entered the work force in the Sustainability space and wants to learn in a hands-on role.
The Sustainability Analyst will be responsible for helping to prepare technical calculations within Microsoft Excel related to GHG emissions and avoided GHG emissions, assisting with GHG-related audit preparation and inquiries, conducting research on global sustainability disclosure requirements, assisting in client management, and supporting corporate sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications   A motivated, accountable individual who is decisive, able to overcome challenges, and always willing to learn new things
Knowledge of Greenhouse Gas Accounting and calculations is required
Strong Analytical Skills and Data Analysis capabilities:
Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret complex data sets
Highly adaptive to changes in situations, information, or direction
Awareness of Corporate Sustainability and Sustainability Reporting
Proficiency with sustainability frameworks and regulations
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Accounting, or related field
Willing to work on a contract billing basis for at least the first 3 months

You will be working with a variety of clients across the globe as well as many industries and have deep exposure into client work.
Pay Range  $25 - $40 per hour depending on candidate skills and experience.
