The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Division of Quality Management is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Analyst. This position will design and conduct studies and reviews to determine policy effectiveness, system improvements and developments. Additionally, this position will develop specialized computer reports and provide technical assistance to Division staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, management operations, communication, and leadership skills.

Essential Functions Under direction, independently designs and conducts studies and reviews to determine policy effectiveness, system improvements and developments. Provides technical assistance and advice for sections within the Medical Programs Division. Reviews and analyzes bulletins, proposed letters, affected Federal regulations and procedure manuals for the programs. Designs and develops specialized computer reports regarding the programs. Confers with agency operation staff, managers, and other state agency staff to facilitate the completion of studies.
Performs other duties as required of assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, supplemented by a master's degree in business or public administration, with coursework in areas such as economic theory, accounting and finance, organizational theory, and operations research. Requires three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in management operations analysis.
Preferred Qualifications Three (3) years of experience working with the application and conduct of management studies. Three (3) years of experience working with electronic data processing operations and the manner they are utilized in operations analysis. One (1) year of experience working in a quality assurance program for a public or private organization. One (1) year of experience analyzing problems and developing a system of action.
One (1) year of experience utilizing the concepts and techniques of operations research to develop research projects.
Conditions of Employment Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history. Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop.
