Data Analyst
The Data Analyst, Level I position is a full-time employment opportunity. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research, the Data Analyst, Level I provides data support to requests from leadership, faculty, staff, and external entities by validating and analyzing data, data mining, data submission to external sources, as well as by preparing reports to support decision-making. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Perform data management activities such as validating and cleaning data, ensuring data meets the set requirements to a high-level of accuracy and integrity.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and provide analytical support to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Academics, Student Affairs, and the institution at large.
- Ensure reports are of required quality and adhere to recognized best practices in academics, data visualization, and data science.
- Prepare data visualizations and reports for presentation of analyses and results.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different groups/individuals.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- 1 year of relevant work experience may be required.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, SQL, PowerPoint, etc).
- Experience with Campus Vue/Anthology.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
