Description
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS FOUNDATION has an immediate opening for a Project Coordinator.
The University of Illinois Foundation (Foundation) is the official fundraising and private gift-receiving organization of the University of Illinois (University). It works closely with alumni and friends, faculty and staff, corporations and foundations, as well as campus development professionals to create fundraising programs and opportunities that benefit the University.
This position performs professional-level duties supporting project management, portfolio management, and technology governance activities. Provides coordination and operational support for project intake, prioritization, portfolio reporting, governance committees, project execution, stakeholder communications, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives.
- At least two years of experience supporting project management, governance, business operations, portfolio management, or planning and coordination activities.
- Experienced and articulate communication skills (oral and written).
- Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills to provide accurate, detail-oriented work.
- Considerable experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings, coordinate cross-functional teams, track action items, and maintain detailed project and governance documentation
- Experience designing and creating recurring standard reports for management.
- Experience supporting project management offices (PMO), project portfolio management, governance programs, or technology initiatives
- Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
- Experience with project intake, prioritization processes, portfolio reporting, and governance committee support

The starting salary range for this position is projected to be $55,000-$65,000 per year. This is a salaried exempt role. While our job postings include salary ranges, your compensation will be based on your specific experience and qualifications—we're not limited by these posted ranges.
