- Partner with leadership to define and execute product strategy aligned with short- and long-term business objectives.
- Own and prioritize the product roadmap by balancing business goals, client needs, competitive insights, organizational commitments, and development timelines.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across Product, Technology, Operations, Sales, Service, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Product Deployment to align priorities, evaluate tradeoffs, and deliver successful outcomes.
- Define product vision, business requirements, epics, features, and development scope, ensuring clear requirements and effective communication with development teams.
- Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through launch and ongoing enhancement, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate product performance, and recommend enhancements to improve business and client outcomes.
- Partner with Product Deployment and Marketing to develop go-to-market strategies, launch plans, client communications, sales collateral, RFP content, and product documentation.
- Ensure products comply with applicable regulatory, legal, compliance, and risk requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Analyze market trends, competitive offerings, and client feedback to identify product enhancements and new market opportunities.
- Partner with Sales, Service, and Product Deployment teams to drive product adoption, client value, and business impact.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 7+ years of product management, product development, or related experience within the financial services industry.
- Strong product strategy, roadmap, and product lifecycle management experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Experience supporting digital communication channels and digital product capabilities.
- FINRA fingerprinting required upon hire.
- Experience with defined contribution retirement products.
- Direct experience with Multiple Employer Plans (MEPs), Pooled Employer Plans (PEPs), and Professional Employer Organization (PEO) partner relationships.
- Experience managing strategic product initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Experience managing vendor and partner relationships.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or similar product development methodologies.
- Experience using product management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops, or Aha!
- Strong understanding of the retirement marketplace, including employers, employees, and intermediaries.
- Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.
