Project Accounting Coordinator
Job Description
The role involves preparing fee proposal templates, drafting contracts, and subcontracts for review. You will ensure projects adhere to contract language and requirements, issue and track project amendment documentation, and coordinate for review. Additionally, you will develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Project Authorization forms including budgets and client invoicing requirements. Assisting project managers with the processing of subconsultant invoices through the project accounting system is also part of your duties.
Monitoring project financials including variance, revenue, budgets, and Work-In-Progress (WIP) is key, along with responsibility for follow-up on revenue variance issues and revenue recovery. You will participate in resolving issues and serve as a liaison between internal staff, suppliers, and clients, effectively communicating on behalf of Project Managers. Conducting pre-bill reviews with Project Managers as necessary, participating in monthly project review meetings, and collaborating with Business Operations teams are essential components of the role.
Additionally, you will assist Business Operations with analysis of project budget performance and provide recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
Responsibilities

Essential Skills
+
Experience with invoices, contract and subcontract review.
+ Ability to create pivot tables and Vlookups in Excel.
+ Proficiency within Deltek, BST, or Oracle.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working as a project coordinator or in project controls for an engineering or architectural company with revenue over $100 million.
+ 2+ years of experience drafting contracts and subcontracts.
+ 2+ years of experience preparing proposal templates.
+ 2+ years of experience working with lump sum and cost plus billing.
+ 2+ years of change orders experience.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
