This hybrid position will be located in Titusville, New Jersey (USA). Alternate hybrid locations may be considered at other Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (IMSC) hubs locations such as:
Raritan, New Jersey (USA);
Beerse, Belgium; or Zug, Switzerland. Remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the Company.
Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one "clean" ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains. This program will simplify the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes to have a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Pharmaceutical business with agility.
Additionally, the program will remediate the end-of-life system exposure that we risk towards the end of this decade.
As member of the IM Transcend Team, the GTS Process Manager will help shape a major business transformation that strengthens how we serve patients, support employees, and enable future growth. The Manager is responsible for helping design, improve, and deliver the future of global trade operations through J&J's Transcend transformation program. This role works across regions, business functions, and technology teams to build global trade processes within a modern ERP environment.
The Manager will connect business requirements, compliance needs, and digital capabilities to create solutions that are standardized, scalable, and practical for the people who use them. As a Process Manager, this role will lead efforts to evaluate, design, and improve Global Trade Services processes while supporting implementation of Johnson & Johnson's global ERP template. They will bring clarity to complex problems, move work forward with accountability, and help teams make decisions that support quality, compliance, and business value.
They will also balance strategy and execution, influence across functions, and translate technical or compliance requirements into clear business outcomes.
- Design and document current and future-state global trade processes.
- Convert business challenges and operational needs into practical, standardized solutions.
- Work with business leaders, IT teams, compliance specialists, and global process owners to align requirements and priorities.
- Lead workshops, working sessions, and design reviews that gather input and build stakeholder alignment.
- Identify ways to simplify processes, strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and increase efficiency.
- Contribute to system configuration, testing, deployment, user acceptance, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization activities.
- Develop process documentation, work instructions, training materials, and governance artifacts that enable adoption.
- Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies, and raise concerns early with clear recommendations.
- Help confirm global trade processes align with applicable trade regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
Education:
- Minimum of High School or equivalent diploma/degree is required;
Bachelor's / University or equivalent degree strongly preferred - Certifications are helpful in one or more of the following: PMP, FPX, or equivalent project management; APICS; or Lean, Six Sigma, or Process Excellence
Experience and Skills:
- Required:
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience
- Trade compliance and controls operational experience (e.g., process and systems, sanctions, embargos, sanctions/party lists, or other related areas)
- Experience designing, improving, or implementing business processes
- Knowledge of Global Trade ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and build relationships, with both technical and business teams, within a global, matrixed environment
- Preferred:
- Experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry
- Proven experience supporting large-scale ERP or SAP transformation programs
- Experience in deploying standardized work processes, tools, and templates
Other:
- Requires proficiency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively and professionally
- Requires up to 50% domestic and international travel, depending on business needs and work location
- Requires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on-site a minimum of three days each week, with the option for two remote workdays each week
