The Procurement Specialist 2 position with the Department of Human Services involves developing, analyzing, and improving procurement documents and processes that support key programs across Pennsylvania. In this role, you will help shape procurement policies, oversee RFP and RFQ processes, support compliance, lead training, and prepare negotiation strategies for complex procurements. The position is based in Harrisburg and offers flexibility to work from home up to three days per week.
Keyqualifications
- One year of experience as a Procurement Specialist 1 or equivalent Federal Government job title
- One year of professional experience performing contract management work plus a bachelors degree in business, supply chain, logistics, project, or operations management or related field
- Strong attention to detail and expertise in procurement policy development and analysis
- Ability to oversee RFP and RFQ processes and develop evaluation criteria
- PA residency requirement
- Ability to perform essential job functions
