Reliability Excellence Principal Consultant

The Principal is responsible for the successful implementation of a client project or program (multiple projects with a given client). In conjunction with project implementation, the Principal ensures that all members of the LCE project team conduct themselves in a highly professional and appropriate manner, follow all LCE work processes and procedures, and deliver according to the scope of work, schedule, and approach as defined in the project execution plan.

In addition, the Principal has the primary project management and client relationship responsibility for creating our "Advocate Client". The Principal will have the day-to-day interaction with the LCE and client's team members to provide first-hand leadership performance evaluation and coaching. The Principal is also responsible for working with the Managing Principals (MPs), Vertical Leaders, and RCG leadership team to find and close new business, including expanding the scope of current work and pursuing opportunities at other sites or clients.

These activities cannot interfere with the primary responsibility of successful engagement/advocate client responsibilities. A Principal with LCE can be based from their remote home office in most any US location, but preference in this search will be given to candidates in the central GA/Atlanta area.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • 75% direct utilization on client engagements: strategizing, coaching, managing projects, creating/presenting progress update reports, ensuring outstanding delivery and client satisfaction, and upselling current projects
  • 15% utilization selling new client engagements to new and/or existing client sites, estimating projects, and writing proposals
  • 10% administrative updating procedures/practices and keeping LCE toolboxes up to date
  • Assist team to:
    • Identify and quantify client issues
    • Articulate the features of our service offerings that address specific client issues
    • Explain the benefits of our unique solution/value differentiators
    • Demonstrate proof of our products and services
  • Keep CRM current with all opportunities using the gated opportunity management process and procedures
  • Work with team to design/craft client-specific solutions with business case: economic benefits and payback schedule
  • Develop project execution plans that deliver the highest value to our clients and LCE
  • Perform/lead Reliability Excellence, Operational Excellence, and Asset Management opportunity assessments
  • Structure the engagements using a project execution plan that ensures highest return on investment for the clients and the highest utilization for LCE
  • Manage the implementation recommendations and solutions so that the client receives the necessary resources to be successful, exceeding the benefits promised in the recommendations
  • Maintain the relationship with the client, keeping them informed of engagement progress and coaching client to make timely, relevant decisions to ensure engagement success
  • Maintain client relationship once the engagement is completed, informing clients of new products and services that will add value to their organization

Required Education, Skills, and

Experience:

  • Hold one or more degrees or certifications within their profession (i.e., BA/BS, PE, CRE, CMRP, CPMM, CPIM, CRL, Six Sigma, Lean, RCM)
  • More than 10 years of industry experience (including experience in at least one of our primary industries (pharma/life sciences, food/bev/client, metals/mining, general manufacturing)
  • Hold Prosci-certified Change Management certification (or obtain certification within one year of employment)
  • Strong presentation and verbal/written communication skills
  • Lead with high energy, motivating coworkers and team members, emphasizing excellence in everything we do
  • Strong project management skills
  • Disciplined in delivering consistent and highly reliable work processes, ensuring project delivery quality
  • Must be able to establish professional and personal relationships with all position stakeholders; a person of high character and humility that easily establishes credibility within LCE and client organizations
  • Ability to work as a team player and demonstrate personal initiative to complete the work of the team as a whole within rapidly changing business and contract conditions and priorities; must be able to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to understand prospective clients' business challenges, define a consultative solution, and successfully present the proposed approach to the client
  • Knowledgeable in systematic Change Management and Program Management Best Practices and their integration/application in consultative solutions
  • Ability to coach, mentor, share knowledge, and develop others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
