  If located within 50 miles of the Aflac offices in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, expected to work in the office at least 60% of the week; remaining portion remote within continental US.

  If located more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices, work from home within continental US; occasional office visits may be requested.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong proficiency with MS Office Products
• Knowledge of Life, Disability and Absence Management and Sales/Underwriting processes
• Experience with public sector/government RFPs/bids is a plus
• Project Management skills and strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of Loopio software or other RFP management applications
• Demonstrate effective research skills

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 4 or more years of experience in Insurance, Absence Management, Disability, Sales, RFP, Sales/Pre-Sales, or Sales Support areas
• Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable

• Develop the full response package for all prospective customer opportunities.
• Provide detailed product descriptions, create executive summaries, and generate final quotes.
• Review the RFP for standard and non-standard items and escalates appropriately.
• Collaborate with Sales and Underwriting to conduct strategy calls as needed.
• Manage end-to-end RFP/RFQ timelines and ensure delivery of the proposal package.
• Handle all submission requirements for the public sector market, including proposal, Terms/Conditions, agreements, contract reviews, MBW/WBE, IT assessments, assembly and delivery.
• Promote differentiators of Aflac’s Life, Disability and Absence Management products.
• Provide feedback on content to maintain updated materials.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop new proposal materials and content.
• Model behavior in alignment with the Aflac Way.
• Use Salesforce to manage opportunities and workflow.
• Perform other related duties as required.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000
. Compensation decisions consider education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range does not include incentive pay or benefits, which are provided separately when appropriate.
