PMO Analyst – IT Program Management

We are currently seeking candidates for a PMO Analyst opportunity with a large financial services firm in Boston, MA. The PMO Analyst will own the day-to-day data, financial tracking, and vendor coordination that keeps a multi-project program running smoothly, working closely with project teams and stakeholders across the business. It's a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented operations professional to gain exposure to large-scale IT program management.

This PMO Analyst position is a 6-month contract paying $40–42/hour, depending on experience.

This role supports a hybrid work model of 4 days per week onsite and 1 day working from home. Candidates must be located in the Greater Boston area and willing to work 4 days per week onsite in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
  • As PMO Analyst, keep program and project-level data accurate and current, partnering with project teams to track deliverables and status updates
  • Monitor project budgets and financials to help initiatives stay within approved funding
  • Support resourcing efforts, including hiring approvals, forecasting, and allocation across projects
  • Coordinate fixed-price and time-and-material vendor contracts, from setup through renewal, within the vendor management system
  • Maintain team rosters and resource records, and track software licenses and vendor agreements through their full lifecycle
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting cycle and complete ad hoc financial, resource, and project analysis as needed
  • Partner cross-functionally to keep the broader program on track toward its goals
Qualifications:
  • Background in program or project management oversight, ideally within a large IT organization; this PMO Analyst opportunity is well suited to candidates coming from a formal PMO function
  • Self-starter who can manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Strong communicator and collaborator, comfortable working across teams and functions
  • Sharp analytical and organizational skills with solid time management
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial and operational data
  • Familiarity with tools such as Clarity, Beeline, or Oracle Purchasing is a plus
