Area5 Airside and Dangerous Goods Compliance & Training Specialist Position Summary
The Area 5 Airside and Dangerous Goods Compliance & Training Specialist coordinates and supports airside and Dangerous Goods compliance and training activities across assigned Area 5 locations. The position delivers approved training, monitors employee qualification and recurrent-training status, maintains accurate compliance records, supports audits and investigations, tracks corrective actions, and communicates compliance risks and program status to Area 5 leadership.
The specialist partners with station management, operational leaders, frontline employees, trainers, safety and security personnel, and applicable corporate support functions to promote consistent execution of company, customer, airport, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support and monitor Airside and Dangerous Goods compliance and training requirements across Area 5.
- Coordinate and deliver required classroom and operational training in a clear, professional, and engaging manner.
- Maintain accurate training, certification, and compliance records.
- Communicate compliance expectations, updates, and identified concerns to Area leadership and operational teams.
- Assist locations with compliance reviews, corrective actions, and readiness for audits or inspections.
- Build effective working relationships with Area Management, frontline employees, and cross-functional partners.
- Travel throughout the assigned area to provide training, compliance support, and operational assistance.
- Obtain and maintain all required certifications, including completing necessary recertification and professional development.
- Support operational and administrative functions at the home-based facility, as needed.
- Strong knowledge of operational compliance, training, or regulated work environments;
Airside or Dangerous Goods experience preferred. - Effective classroom facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong recordkeeping and follow-through.
- Ability to communicate expectations professionally and address compliance concerns respectfully and confidently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple locations and organizational levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and electronic training or compliance tracking systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while meeting deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout Area 5 as required.
