  • Developing and advancing revenue optimization strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborating across Boralex on financings, repowerings, project development, and buy-side and sell-side M&A opportunities.
  • Gathering and analyzing market, competitor, pricing and customer data to inform commercial strategies and decision-making.
  • Monitoring market rules, regulatory developments and market dynamics that may impact renewable asset revenues and risks.
  • Conducting market and commercial analyses to support energy commercialization initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Preparing clear, decision-oriented presentations and recommendations for senior management.
  • Leading cross-functional initiatives, aligning stakeholders and driving projects to successful outcomes without direct reporting authority.

To succeed in this position, you need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of directly relevant experience in North American energy markets and commercial functions.
  • Demonstrated experience originating and structuring PPAs for renewable energy assets, including physical, virtual and behind-the-meter structures.
  • Hands-on experience in asset optimization, energy trading, commercial analysis and/or financial modelling.
  • A strong understanding of North American electricity market design, including regulated and deregulated physical markets, ISOs, utilities and related financial markets.
  • Deep knowledge of renewable energy offtake structures and their key value drivers.
  • The ability to understand, interpret and negotiate complex PPAs and commercial agreements.
  • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to translate market and contractual complexities into practical business recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical, commercial and executive audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines and periods of high workload while remaining effective under pressure.
  • A collaborative mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement and a focus on delivering measurable value to the business.
  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in science, finance, economics or a related field is considered an asset.
