- Remote.
You will be a problem-solver who analyzes complex data from multiple sources to understand the drivers of our business results and influence the next steps of action. As a fully trained analyst, you will work on recurring and ad hoc projects, applying your knowledge and utilizing analytic methods and technical skills to solve unstructured problems and complex analyses.
Your Work- Performs complex analysis of data for assigned client group and how it relates to overall objectives.
- Research includes enlisting the collaboration of different departments outside IPM/IPO and gaining their support on findings and action plan.
- Applies knowledge gained from involvement in broader issues to make recommendations for procedure development and analysis needed for securing desired solution.
- Prepares findings and recommendations for clients and may be co‑presenter to senior mgmt.
- May review work of less seasoned staff for accuracy, logic and appropriateness.
- Develops and may act as coach on processes for reporting out information to clients.
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of directly related experience.
- Superior research, statistical, analytical, processing and mathematical skills with ability to structure and conduct analyses.
- Adaptability and the capability of multi‑tasking and strong time management.
- Ability to make effective formal presentations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to coach and mentor co‑workers and give feedback as required.
- Knowledge of insurance, accounting and rate-making concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic and various structured analysis and design techniques.
- Advanced degree in related field and/or CPCU designation.
- Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.).
- Lives into cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.).
- Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in‑person meetings.
