Position Summary

Explore the Analyst roles:
One role is ideal for candidates with medical claims experience, while the other is best suited for those with training experience and retirement plan expertise. Both Analysts play a key role in supporting employee success and delivering exceptional service by facilitating training, evaluating quality and performance, and ensuring accurate and efficient benefit service processes. The position blends training, coaching, quality assurance, and operational support to enhance employee effectiveness, elevate the member experience, and drive results for the business units served.

They also serve as a subject matter resource for complex processes and transitions, including member-facing situations that require advanced knowledge, critical thinking, and strong problem‑solving skills. The work hours are scheduled between 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the employees’ start time determined by the manager and employee. This position is eligible for NRECA's hybrid schedule, offering the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule and work from home up to two days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports the delivery of training programs, contributes to training materials and aids, and may assist with routine training delivery.
  • Reviews employee processing work and member service calls for timeliness, quality, accuracy, and productivity within assigned business areas.
  • Assists with updating and organizing standard operating procedures in partnership with the Quality Assurance team and business areas, as needed.
  • May process escalated member-facing claims transactions requiring specialized knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Required

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree or college coursework plus 2+ years of quality assessment and training experience or applicable subject matter expertise, within the medical insurance or retirement plan services industry.
  • Preferred Experience:

    Experience working with quality assessments, assisting with the creation of educational materials and training aids, and supporting the training and onboarding of staff. Experience with in the insurance industry working with medical insurance plans or experience within the financial services industry working with retirement plans.
  • Knowledge,

    Skills and Abilities

    (as demonstrated by prior work experience):
    Knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and/or DOL regulations related to defined benefit plan administration preferred. Knowledge of applicable processing policies, procedures, and workflows. General knowledge of employee benefits gained through education or experience. Ability to manage time, prioritize work, multitask, and perform effectively under pressure. Ability to identify improvement opportunities and recommend constructive solutions. Ability to collaborate effectively, build positive working relationships, and provide timely follow-up.

    Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in all responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to report to the office as required.
