What Your Job Will Be Like:We are looking for an experienced Administrative Support Assistant for the Product Transition Department (5428). As a valued member of the team, the successful candidate will provide proactive and collaborative support managing information and action items, coordinating access for visiting industry partners, and capturing team accomplishments to report to our sponsors and leaders.
On any given day, you may be called on to:Support meetings by taking notes and capturing action items (then tracking actions to completion)
Submitting incoming VARs and badging requests, providing visitors instructions, tracking visitor completion of training requirements, and escorting visitors if needed
Track projects and programs supported by the department and weekly accomplishments for recurring reports
Assist with other time intensive data management work to support others in the department
Manage and update department Confluence page, SharePoint folders, etc.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range:$48,500 - $89,000
* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:High school diploma plus a three or more years of directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Q-level security clearance.
Qualifications We Desire:Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and be responsive to changing priorities, short deadlines, and time-critical ad-hoc items.
Experience in gathering, collecting, recording, tracking and verifying data and information from multiple sources.
Proven ability as a team player with all levels of employees and management as well as a strong customer focus using tact, judgment, discretion, and courtesy.
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to achieve cooperation in a diverse atmosphere.
Ability to learn and utilize new software systems.
Strong customer focus with enthusiasm and a desire to effectively support the administrative needs of the organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
Ability to work proactively with little guidance or oversight.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point
Good working knowledge of SharePoint and Confluence
About Our Team:The Product Transition Department 5428 provides industry partner support for the Hypersonic Programs in the Strike Systems Group within the Integrated Military Systems Development Center 8 coordinates the development of Mechanical, Electrical, and Avionics flight technologies to be assembled, integrated and tested by industry partners to provide flight solutions for hypersonic missile systems and related flight platforms. Typically, these systems support the DOD including Army, Navy, Air Force, and other Agencies.
5400 has successfully developed hypersonic systems for the nation and is extending our role on the national stage for both developmental and fieldable systems.
Our programs cover a broad spectrum of applications from advanced aerodynamically controlled vehicles, to maneuvering hypersonic kill vehicles, to ballistic missile systems. All the activities require the extensive use of commonly developed Sandia avionics as well as prototype next generation technology that has never been flown. Levering existing technologies and maturing the Hypersonics portfolio for national needs is a demanding task and is a key component of Exceptional Service in the National Interest.
