About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and articulate Energy Policy Analyst to join their organization on a remote basis. This role is crucial for informing strategic decisions by researching, analyzing, and advising on energy-related policies at local, regional, and national levels. You will play a key part in shaping our client's engagement with policy frameworks and advocating for sustainable energy development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze current and proposed energy policies, regulations, and legislation.
  • Evaluate the potential impact of policies on the energy market, business operations, and consumers.
  • Develop policy recommendations and position papers for internal and external use.
  • Monitor policy developments and trends within the energy sector, providing timely updates and analysis.
  • Liaise with government agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders on policy matters.
  • Prepare reports, briefs, and presentations to communicate complex policy issues clearly and concisely.
  • Support the development of advocacy strategies related to energy policy.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Environmental Science, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy policy analysis, research, or advocacy.
  • Strong understanding of the energy sector, including market structures, technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
