About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Analyst to support their purchasing operations in Mossel Bay . This role is integral to optimizing procurement processes, analyzing spend, and identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings. You will work closely with the procurement team and other departments to gather data, generate reports, and provide insights that drive informed decision-making. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of procurement principles, and proficiency in data analysis tools.
This hybrid role offers a balance of in-office collaboration and the convenience of some remote work flexibility.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data related to spend, supplier performance, and market trends.
- Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and supplier consolidation.
- Support the negotiation process by providing relevant market intelligence and cost analysis.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within procurement systems.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst , Data Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), SQL, and potentially BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
