About the Role

At Equitable, we help clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives - a mission we've honed since 1859. Equitable is looking for an Employee Benefits Reporting & Compensation Analyst to support our Financial Services Team. In this highly collaborative role, you will partner closely with the Employee Benefits Licensing, Appointments, and Commissions Team Lead to support critical compensation and reporting functions that drive operational excellence across the business.

The Analyst will play a key role in the administration and management of broker and General Agent (GA) bonus programs, ensuring accurate reporting, timely payments, and adherence to established processes and controls. This position will also support internal and external audits, assist with compliance and data validation activities, and contribute to ongoing process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, compensation programs, and cross-functional teams in a dynamic and evolving environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Support the design, review, and administration of incentive compensation programs for the Employee Benefits business, including monthly, quarterly, and annual bonus calculations.

Generate compensation statements and provide insights that help drive sales performance and business results.

Partner closely with Sales leadership and business stakeholders to establish, maintain, and optimize compensation arrangements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.

Collaborate with Commissions, vendors, and cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve data, file transmission, and downstream system issues, helping to improve operational efficiency and data integrity.

Perform quality assurance reviews of commission transactions, invoices, and processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and a strong governance framework.

Analyze, validate, and commission data, identifying trends, researching discrepancies, and recommending solutions to enhance data quality and reporting reliability.

Conduct appointment reconciliations between internal systems and state regulatory records, ensuring accurate producer licensing and appointment information across jurisdictions.

Support the setup and maintenance of broker and General Agency (GA) commission structures, including commission hierarchies, payment scales, and in-force business management to ensure seamless commission administration.

Leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex compensation and commission scenarios, providing recommendations that support business operations and improve overall process effectiveness.

This position offers a flexible work schedule: it may be fully remote/hybrid. If you are located near one of our offices (e.g., Charlotte, NC; New York, NY; Syracuse, NY), a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days on-site per week is expected to foster collaboration and connection.

The base salary range for this position is $58,000 - $80,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility. For eligible employees, Equitable provides a full range of benefits.

This includes medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off. For detailed descriptions of these benefits, please reference the link below.
