About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Remote Insurance Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs across the organization. Your role will involve staying updated on evolving legislation, conducting internal audits, and providing guidance to various departments to mitigate risks and maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct.
This is a crucial role for safeguarding the company's reputation and operational integrity in the highly regulated insurance industry.
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs and policies to meet regulatory requirements.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the insurance industry and assess their impact.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and vulnerabilities.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters, policies, and procedures.
- Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in insurance compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs, preferably in a remote setting.
- In-depth knowledge of South African insurance laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at explaining complex regulations.
- Experience in developing and delivering compliance training programs.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in compliance or risk management are highly preferred.
