Project Director - Pursuit Management

Maximus is hiring a Project Director, Pursuit Management to provide strategic leadership and governance oversight for complex business development pursuits across multiple lines of business. This role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, driving pursuit readiness, schedule discipline, risk management, decision-making, and governance excellence to support successful business growth outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled leader with experience establishing pursuit management standards, guiding cross-functional teams, and ensuring consistent execution across a portfolio of opportunities. • Champion responsible use of approved AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline pursuit operations, improve reporting consistency, and reduce administrative burden across teams.

Guide consistent pursuit outcomes by monitoring portfolio readiness, milestone health, and management visibility across opportunities.

'- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 10+ years of relevant professional experience required.

• Specialized experience needed: establishing or leading pursuit management/project governance standards across teams, portfolios, or multiple lines of business.

• Candidates should have experience designing operating rhythms, executive reporting expectations, project controls, escalation pathways, milestone health reporting, readiness reviews, issue management, and decision cadence.

• Must influence senior stakeholders, improve management visibility, standardize pursuit outcomes, and champion responsible use of approved AI-enabled tools and automation to improve reporting consistency and reduce administrative burden.

This position is fully remote and will require a home office.
