THE POSITION
The Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS) is searching for a Program Analyst 2 to join our Risk & Performance Data Office (RPDO) team. The office is growing and we are looking for the right professional to bring an analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills to this team. This position will play an integral role in the implementation of the office's operating principles and practices, work closely with the Chief Risk Officer and the Chief Data Officer to develop, implement and maintain RPDO office operational system, and serve as an informal project coordinator.
DESCRIPTIONOF WORK
This position supports the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Data Officer in carrying out strategy, creating and implementing systems and support structures, and overseeing the operational process performance. You will perform the following duties:
- Operational Support:
Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving systems that guide RPDO operations and responsibilities - Agile Leadership:
Lead team events and planning activities that foster effective use of agile practices and promote consistent progress - Risk Evaluation:
Assess business unit maturity and review documentation to support clear understanding of organizational risks - Process Improvement:
Identify obstacles and implement improvements that increase efficiency, communication, and team alignment - Performance Metrics:
Help create, organize, and distribute operational performance metrics that support the agency strategic plan - Stakeholder Coordination:
Facilitate communication between RPDO staff and business units to support shared goals and expectations

Work Schedule and Additional Information- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Work hours may be negotiable, including potential for 30 minute lunch.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. This position is hybrid telework eligible, dependent on operational and executive leadership requirements. Telework schedule varies based on current work activities. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

- One year as a Program Analyst 1; or
- Two years of analytical experience, one of which includes professional experience in program evaluation and the development of program recommendations, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
