The Strategic Sales Operations Lead is responsible for high-impact strategic initiatives that shape how our sales organization operates and grows. You'll partner closely with Sales Operations leadership, lead complex cross-functional projects, build scalable processes and governance, and turn data into clear, actionable recommendations. This role has no direct reports, but you'll provide project leadership, mentoring, and coaching for other ICs and cross-functional partners, including Implementation.
WhatYou'll Do:
- Partner with Sales Operations leadership to translate strategic goals into analytical frameworks and project charters, leading deep-dive analyses on coverage, pipeline health, and motion performance.
- Own end-to-end delivery of large, cross-functional initiatives - GTM resets, new role/motion launches, coverage redesign, incentive changes - from problem definition through implementation and measurement.
- Structure projects into work streams and provide direction to other ICs and cross-functional partners contributing to them.
- Co-design and maintain sales process governance (stage definitions, rules of engagement, approval paths), and lead efforts to standardize core processes across teams.
- Own process design for Hub Spot and Salesforce, partnering with CRM admin teams on data cleanliness and feature rollout.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to sales processes, partnering with CRM/Systems to pilot and roll out responsibly.
- Defines KPI frameworks for strategic initiatives and assists with the builds of dashboards/reports (Sigma, Salesforce, Hub Spot) that leadership actually uses to track adoption and performance.
- Serve as a strategic partner to leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations, leading working sessions and decision forums.
- Help set standards for documentation and strategic analysis, and bring outside best practices into the organization.
- 5-8+ years in sales operations, sales strategy, revenue operations, consulting, analytics, or related roles, with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects that improved sales performance or GTM alignment.
- Experience partnering directly with senior leaders (Sales Directors, VPs, Finance) on strategic decisions.
- Strong analytical capabilities with proven expertise in building and interpreting CRM reports, as well as leveraging complex datasets to extract key insights.
- Ability to design and interpret models related to territories, capacity, funnel performance, or incentives.
- Familiarity with AI-powered sales/GTM tools and curiosity for where automation can improve efficiency and data quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis into clear narratives for executives and ICs alike.
- Strong facilitation and cross-functional influence skills — comfortable driving alignment across groups with competing interests.
- Highly organized, systems-oriented thinker, comfortable with ambiguity and biased toward scalable solutions over one-off fixes.
- Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings and other events, when applicable.
