Humana is evolving how creative and content work is planned, prioritized, scoped, and delivered across the enterprise. As Senior Project Manager, you will help translate complex business needs into clear project plans, timelines, dependencies, and delivery paths that enable teams to create compliant, on-brand communications for members, patients, caregivers, and communities.
In a typical day, you may lead project planning discussions, manage creative workflow milestones, align cross-functional partners, identify risks, support prioritization, and keep stakeholders informed from intake through final delivery.
The Senior Project Manager leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex creative and content initiatives that support Humana's marketing, brand, and customer experience priorities. This role partners with intake & scoping, creative, account, compliance, technology, and business stakeholders to define scope, manage timelines, resolve dependencies, and maintain delivery visibility. The Senior Project Manager helps teams work efficiently by applying project management discipline, workflow standards, and proactive risk management.
This work supports Humana by improving speed, quality, and accountability for communications that help members and patients make informed health decisions.
Lead end-to-end project planning and execution for complex creative, content, and marketing initiatives, including scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and delivery expectations
Partner with the Associate Director, Intake & Scoping and cross-functional leaders to evaluate work requests, clarify requirements, prioritize demand, and recommend delivery paths
Manage project risks, tradeoffs, change requests, and stakeholder communications to keep work moving and reduce delays, rework, and escalation
Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and production partners to deliver high-quality, compliant, on-brand work across digital, print, email, social, video, and integrated campaign channels
Identify workflow trends, capacity constraints, and process improvement opportunities that strengthen operational performance and improve member and patient experiences
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Operations, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of project management, marketing operations, creative operations, account coordination, production operations, or related experience in an agency or marketing environment
3+ years of experience managing creative or content workflows, including scope, timelines, dependencies, approvals, and cross-functional deliverables
Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-channel projects with stakeholders across creative, strategy, operations, compliance, technology, vendors, or business teams
Experience using project management, workflow, collaboration, or reporting tools such as Workfront,Aprimo, , Lucid, PowerPoint, SharePoint, or similar platforms
Experience working in health care, health insurance, financial services, government, oranotherhighly regulated industry
Experience with intake, scoping, backlog prioritization, resource planning, capacity planning, or operational reporting for creative or content teams
Experience managing projects across digital, print, direct mail, email, social, video, web, or integrated campaign channels
PMP, Agile, Scrum, Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable project management or process improvement certification
Experience presenting project status, risks, recommendations, and process improvement opportunities to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
