Position:Online Order Specialist

Department:Finance & Administrative Services

Type of Position:Part-time Regular

Exemption Status:Non-Exempt

Work Schedule, Hours per week:10:00 am-3:00pm, 25 hours per week

Opportunity for hybrid schedule:No

Starting Salary Range:$16.68-$21.23 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: Receive and process customer orders on online platforms and ensure every customer's order is processed with satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completes routine tasks under moderate supervision.
  • Requires a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of related experience.

Position details include but are not limited to:

  • Verify order details, including product specifications, quantities, and pricing.
  • Process payment errors and backorders.
  • Ship JCCC Amazon storefront purchases via third-party carriers daily.
  • List and update online postings of merchandise for sale and maintain the Bookstore's website.
  • Ensure textbooks and merchandise are listed on the JCCC Amazon storefront for sale, titles are current, and pricing is competitive.
  • Maintain an accurate and organized customer database and order history.
  • Communicate order status updates to customers and notify and address any delays or issues.
  • Provide product inventory information and assistance to customers via phone, in person, or online.

* Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions.
