As a trusted partner and leader in providing energy and sustainability consulting services to the federal government, Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) understands the increasing complexity of achieving water security, energy security, and data management in a changing world. As part of the Energy, Resilience and Sustainability (ERS) Division, you will collaborate with experts to provide comprehensive policy, planning, and implementation services to deliver solutions that address critical infrastructure resilience and security, and data management issues and support the military mission, while reducing environmental impacts.

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Water and Energy Policy Analyst to support our defense clients across the water portfolio. The successful candidate will enjoy working to research, collect, manage and report data. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in water systems, be detail-oriented, and be comfortable serving in a client-facing role. This is a hybrid position located in the Washington, D.C., area, with the flexibility to work from home while participating in some in-person client and team discussions at or near CTC's Crystal City office.

Travel will be required with this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Energy and Water Data Collection & Management:
    Gather, compile, and manage quantitative and qualitative data from diverse sources, including DAF databases, public sources, and information collected during on-site assessments.
  • Data Analysis:
    Perform initial data analysis, identify trends, and support the development and population of a multi-criteria site selection matrix using advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
  • Modeling Support:
    Assist the Senior Engineer in developing and populating a dynamic water balance model by cleaning, structuring, and validating data sets.
  • Research:
    Conduct research on commercial water technologies, life-cycle costs, and federal/state water policies to support the team's analysis.
  • Reporting & Visualization:
    Create compelling data visualizations, including charts, graphs, and maps, for inclusion in formal reports, briefing decks, and other deliverables.
  • Deliverable Support:
    Support the development of key project deliverables, including the Site Selection Report, the DAF-Wide Prioritization Toolkit (spreadsheet-based), and the final Installation Resilience Blueprint.
  • Team

    Collaboration:

    Actively participate in internal team meetings, contribute to stakeholder interviews, and provide support during a potential on-site installation assessment.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Environmental Science, Data Science, Water Resources, Public Policy, or a related analytical discipline.
  • 0-4 years of relevant professional experience in the water utility, data analysis, natural resources research, or a related field.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with a government contractor, federal agency, or in the utility/infrastructure sector.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).
