AI training is the human side of building modern artificial intelligence. Reviewers evaluate model responses, identify errors and risks, write useful feedback, and create examples that help AI systems become more accurate, reliable, and responsible.

In this role, your CBRN knowledge will help models handle sensitive chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear topics with appropriate technical accuracy, safety awareness, and public-safety framing.

Open Train is recruiting a CBRN AI Safety Review Specialist to review AI-generated content concerning chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear safety. You will assess whether responses are technically accurate, appropriately cautious, useful at a high level, and aligned with safety and policy expectations.

The opportunity is marked entry level, while the requirements call for a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience and at least three years of relevant professional experience.

You will review and rank AI-generated responses and provide clear written explanations for your decisions. Your work will help distinguish safe, useful information from content that is misleading, overconfident, unsafe, or capable of enabling misuse.

You will also create safe reference examples, apply review rubrics consistently, and elevate ambiguous or high-risk cases for further consideration.

• Assess technical accuracy, terminology, hazard classification, and risk framing
• Evaluate exposure pathways, protective concepts, and emergency preparedness guidance
• Review public-safety communication and policy alignment
• Identify misleading, overconfident, unsafe, or misuse-enabling content
• Distinguish appropriate refusal or redirection from useful high-level safety information
• Explain safety, accuracy, completeness, and policy-alignment decisions
• Apply technical review rubrics and escalate ambiguous or high-risk cases

You should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field such as chemistry, biology, public health, toxicology, nuclear or radiation science, emergency management, environmental health and safety, biosecurity, or security studies.

At least three years of relevant professional experience is required in CBRN safety, hazardous materials, biosafety, radiation safety, emergency preparedness, public health, security analysis, technical review, or a related area. Experience with AI safety, technical quality assurance, policy review, risk assessment, scientific review, or rubric-based evaluation is preferred.
