What You Will Do:
- Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, partner with cross functional team members to develop creative solutions and resolve contractual matters.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions.
- Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope.
- Partner with cross functional team members in the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts implementation, and contract administration.
- Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking creative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes.
- Multi-task routine and complex contract and proposal activities while responding to unplanned quick response requirements as they emerge.
- Minimal domestic travel.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
- Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
- Experience with U.S. Government fixed price and cost type contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).
- Experience as a Contracts Lead and/or leading contracts negotiations with customer.
- Experience with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) process.
- Experience with administration and negotiation of complex proposals and contracts.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders, including customers and leadership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and develop effective relationships with internal and external customers based on respect and trust.
- Experience interfacing with DCAA and DCMA supporting proposal reviews, audits, and fact-finding.
