Hybrid Role: This role is hybrid, with an established schedule of in-person work required at an assigned work location. Any remote work is expected to be performed from an employee’s primary residence, unless allowed (or prohibited) through the Company’s remote work guidelines.

Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Responsible to help develop the organization’s strategic and long-range goal planning and will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and creating value in structuring development transactions, focuses on clean energy and emerging energy technology. Identifies and prioritizes growth opportunities and creates plan for implementation to senior leadership. Identifies, research, analyzes, and makes recommendations for any of the following: clean technology projects or investment opportunities and/or potential acquisitions and divestitures to support the organization's growth objective.

Responsible for strategy and planning to align business operations with the company's mission and goals. Manages financial and commercial details of complex projects and/or transactions within a team-oriented environment in rapidly evolving markets.

• Identifies new business opportunities to grow the portfolio.
• Identifies, screens, and evaluates strategic vendors and/or acquisition targets and conducts diligence to ensure reliability on targets.
• Maintains target customer group relationships through direct contact with the prospective customers, and active participation in industry trade association activities.
• Researches and analyzes industry and competitive trends to identify emerging opportunities and strategic areas of interest and benefits.
• Negotiates with counter parties to successfully structure transactions.
• Drives strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals.
• Initiates or follows leads as provided for new businesses, services, and customer sector opportunities.
• Analyzes emerging industry trends, and recommends expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, viability of outside business partners, internal business performance and business process improvement.
• Monitors progress of consultants and suppliers; establishes reporting protocol and resolves any outstanding issues.
