Job Summary

The Consumer Bank Product Manager II leads a team responsible for the strategy, development, and performance of consumer banking products. This role is pivotal in driving profitability while maintaining a moderate risk profile.

Essential Functions
  • Lead a team in the design, development, and management of consumer banking products and services.
  • Oversee product acquisition strategies, credit decisioning processes, and portfolio performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance product offerings and service delivery.
  • Utilize industry research, competitive intelligence, and data insights to identify and target profitable client segments.
  • Identify and resolve product and system inefficiencies that impact client acquisition and relationship deepening.
  • Manage vendor relationships to support product delivery and innovation.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve performance goals and foster professional growth.
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
  • Complies with all Key Bank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. (preferred) OR equivalent experience (required)
Work Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in financial services or a comparable industry. (required)
  • 7+ years in product management, community development, marketing, or communications, with a strong emphasis on compliance and risk management. (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI (preferred)

Defining the long-term vision and roadmap for products, aligning them with organizational goals, market trends, and customer demands. Overseeing the entire product lifecycle - from ideation and development to launch and ongoing optimization to ensure products meet customer needs and business objectives. Prioritizing the needs, behaviors, and feedback of customers to guide product decisions and deliver exceptional user experiences.

Demonstrating a strong understanding of banking operations, financial principles, and market dynamics to make informed product decisions. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating regulatory, operational, and financial risks throughout the product lifecycle, in alignment with the bank’s risk framework. Analyzing complex challenges and developing effective, data-driven solutions that enhance product performance and customer satisfaction. Applying logical reasoning and analytical skills to evaluate product performance, assess trade-offs, and support sound decision-making.

Managing a suite of products by prioritizing investments, balancing risk and return, and aligning with strategic goals. Driving continuous improvement and introducing new ideas to enhance product offerings, customer value, and competitive advantage. Ensuring that product features, services, and enhancements are closely aligned with evolving customer expectations and behaviors. Streamlining processes, reducing waste, and improving workflows to enhance product delivery, scalability, and profitability.
