What you will do:

Provide regular supervision, guidance, and professional support to foster carers, enabling them to meet the needs of children in placement.

Complete high‑quality assessments of prospective foster carers and contribute to recruitment and approval processes.

Monitor foster placements to ensure safeguarding standards are met and placement stability is promoted.

Work collaboratively with children’s social workers, health professionals, and education services to meet children’s holistic needs.

Maintain accurate, timely, and high‑quality case records in line with Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards.

Engage in continuous professional development through training, reflective practice, and team learning.

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with a Degree in Social Work (BA / MA / DipSW).

Registration with Social Work England (SWE) is essential.

Experience with in fostering, kinship, or children’s social care is highly desirable.

Strong assessment, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
