Foster Carer – Peterborough City Council
We are seeking passionate and dedicated people to join our existing cohort of foster carers to provide a loving, stable home for local children and young people.
Requirements:
Have a spare bedroom and be over 21 years old. No prior fostering experience is required. You will be home based and receive full support from the experienced in‑house fostering team at Sand Martin House, Peterborough.
- Provide a caring, stable environment for children on a short or long‑term basis
- Participate in training and induction using a hybrid online and in‑person approach
- Work with a mentor foster carer and access a 24‑hour advice and support line
- Undergo assessment, including an Enhanced Disclosure check through the Disclosure and Barring Service
- Support children’s welfare and promote safeguarding and child protection
