Supervising Social Worker - Barnsley & Bradford

We are looking for an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly team!

Full Time Fixed Term 12 month contract

Home based with an expectation to attend the Barnsley office 1 day per week.

Working for Capstone Foster Care as a Supervising Social Worker you will be looking after a very manageable caseload of foster families within the Barnsley and Bradford area
. Working in partnership with other team members to provide a high quality and safe service for our foster families and the children/young people they look after.

As a Supervising Social Worker in the team, you must have the ability to:

• Manage your own caseload whilst meeting deadlines
• Evidence experience in frontline social work in Childcare and Form F’s
• Demonstrate strong analytical and assessment skills
• Have the ability to effectively communicate with children and their parents
• Promote great outcomes for all children and young people looked after by Capstone Foster Care.

Applicants must have:

• A relevant Social Work qualification and be SWE registered
• Be experienced within fostering
• Understand the impact of trauma and therapeutic parenting
• Knowledge of fostering and childcare legislation
• Be eligible to work within the UK
• Have a full driving licence and transport
