Schedule:

Monday – Friday, typically 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (must be flexible to meet the needs of the families; could include evening visits if needed)

Our Early Head Start program serves pregnant women, infants, and toddlers through a home-based model that supports child development and strengthens parent-child relationships.

Position Summary:

The Early Head Start Home Visitor provides weekly home visits to families with children aged birth to three and expectant mothers. Home Visitors support the development of secure parent-child relationships, promote healthy child development, and work closely with families to identify goals and connect them to community resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct weekly 90-minute home visits with enrolled families
  • Facilitate age-appropriate activities that support child development in language, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional domains
  • Provide prenatal support and education to expectant families
  • Partner with families to establish family goals and connect to necessary services
  • Complete developmental screenings and ongoing assessments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards
  • Coordinate and facilitate socialization group experiences for families once per month
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other team members for ongoing support and case management
Qualifications:
  • Required:

    Home-based CDA credential or equivalent in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or related field or willing to obtain after hire
  • Preferred:
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or Social Work
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families in a home-visiting or similar role
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to pass all required background checks
