Position: Superintendent / Foundation Manager

A growing heavy civil construction organization is seeking an experienced Foundation Manager / Superintendent to support complex foundation and infrastructure projects.

This is a senior field leadership role responsible for overseeing foundation operations, managing crews and subcontractors, and driving safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.

The position offers the opportunity to lead technically challenging deep foundation work, support large-scale civil infrastructure projects, and advance within a performance-driven construction environment.
Primarily a field based role, home office is in Newtown, PA, projects will be within a 100 mile radius.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, direct, and motivate field crews to execute daily construction activities
  • Ensure all jobsite operations meet or exceed established safety standards
  • Provide forepersons with necessary tools, materials, equipment, and project information
  • Track subcontractor performance while managing schedule and budget expectations
  • Interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications related to assigned scopes of work
  • Monitor productivity and cost performance for assigned tasks
  • Implement QA/QC processes to maintain high construction quality standards
  • Oversee all construction-related site operations for assigned projects
  • Proactively identify and respond to changing site conditions and project challenges
  • Manage documentation including submittals, material tracking, and project records
  • Prepare and submit weekly safety reports and jobsite documentation
  • Plan and manage manpower requirements to support project schedules
  • Support construction design efforts including lift plans and work plans
  • Review survey data, drawings, and site documentation to support project planning
  • Manage budgets and job cost performance with field leadership
  • Review and analyze job cost reports for foundation-related scopes
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations
  • Track and support claims related to foundation work
Qualifications and Must-Haves
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Approximately 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction with strong foundation project expertise
  • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, schedule-driven construction environments
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry best practices, equipment operation, and QA/QC processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to support local and regional project assignments within 1 to 2 hours travel radius

  • Welding and fabrication
  • Well point and dewatering systems

  • Drilled shafts (36” to 144”)
