Project Manager – Family Business

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year. This is a permanent, full‑time position based in Rochester. The role involves overseeing and managing commercial construction projects from start to finish, ensuring on‑time delivery within budget and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of the construction process, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and adhering to high-quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project strategies and plans, including defining goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage potential risks and devise contingency plans.
  • Coordinate and obtain necessary permits, licenses, and other regulatory prerequisites.
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately and is up to date.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically with commercial projects.
  • Proven experience leading a project from conception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, materials, quality control, and safety on large sites.
  • Proficient in project management software, MS Office Suite, and other business communication tools.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with decision‑making ability.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, quality standards, and best practices in construction.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
