We're hiring a Superintendent for a direct hire opportunity supporting a confidential client project in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This role is responsible for overall field execution of a multi-family or commercial construction project, with a strong focus on schedule adherence, subcontractor coordination, quality, and documentation control.
What you will do:- Own all aspects of field operations for your assigned project, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and to specification.
- Partner closely with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the project schedule, prioritize buyout sequencing, and manage day-to-day plan execution.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication between the jobsite and the home office, ensuring timely updates and issue escalation.
- Lead subcontractor coordination through daily engagement and weekly on-site coordination meetings to maintain production flow and resolve constraints.
- Create and maintain a weekly 3-week lookahead, track progress, and proactively address schedule risks.
- Manage and organize field documentation, including contract documents, revisions, and owner or subcontractor changes, ensuring accurate downstream communication and follow-through.
- Promote teamwork, resolve conflicts professionally, and maintain a high standard of client service.
- Experience with concrete and steel, including podium construction.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in field documentation and change control.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts, align trades, and build team accountability.
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, and Bluebeam.
- Ability to stay detail-focused while maintaining a clear view of overall project goals and priorities.
- Strong drive to deliver an excellent client and customer experience.
