Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced permanent Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing commercial construction projects from start to finish in Rochester. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the budget, timeline, and scope, as well as monitoring progress and presenting updates to stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of the construction process, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and meeting high‑quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project strategies and plans, including defining goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage potential risks and devise contingency plans.
  • Coordinate and obtain necessary permits, licenses, and other regulatory prerequisites.
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately and is up to date.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, specifically with commercial projects.
  • Proven experience in project management and the ability to lead a project from conception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, materials, quality control, and safety relevant to large construction sites.
  • Proficiency in project management software, MS Office Suite, and other related business and communication tools.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, quality standards, and best practices in construction.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
