Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step into a role with real variety, visibility and career growth? Balfour Beatty Asset & Technology Solutions (ATS) is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Temporary Site Services team, supporting the delivery of temporary M&E/site services across a wide portfolio of major projects throughout the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business area that has grown significantly over the last two years and continues to expand.
You’ll work closely with the Temporary Site Services Business Manager, supporting commercial delivery, guiding the team and playing a key role in the continued success of this fast-moving part of the business.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial leadership and support across the Temporary Site Services team, helping to manage performance, risk, reporting and contractual delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing month‑end CVR reports and supporting commercial reporting into the Site Services leadership team
- Managing debt, accruals and commercial risk across the portfolio
- Providing contractual support to pre‑construction and operations teams
- Leading and supporting a small team of Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Administrators
- Driving best practice around compensation events, early warnings and general contract submissions
- Reporting commercial progress to senior project teams
- Managing commercial relationships with customers, stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers
- Evaluating and negotiating tenders
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
- Professional membership such as MRICS, MCInstCES or MCIOB, or working towards this
- Strong communication skills
- Experience leading, supporting or mentoring others
- A good understanding of contract management, risk and commercial reporting
- A customer-focused approach
- A tenacious, solutions‑led mindset
- A valid UK driving licence
