What Your Day Will Look Like
As a CEI Senior Bridge Inspector, you will demonstrate a successful career in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection. The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction work and conducting field tests for compliance with contract documents and provide support to various project procedures, particularly in documentation development for the final estimate package.
What You’ll Do- On-site inspection of roadway and bridge construction
- Monitoring on site construction activities
- Supervise day to day activities of inspection staff
- Review reports from inspection staff and write summary report of all construction activities
- Assist with conducting inspections, observations, and run materials tests and checking construction work
- Maintain detailed records of daily operations
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Four (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
- Must have the following as required by the scope of work for the intended assignment on the project at the time of NTP:
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I
- CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
- CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
- CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
- FDOT Intermediate MOT
- IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
- Nuclear Radiation Safety
- Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
- Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- This field job primarily operates in outdoor work environments that may include exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee may include frequent talking, hearing, standing, moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, balancing, coordination, and occasional sitting or operating a company vehicle. This job may require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
