Project Manager (Civil) - San Diego, CA (Hybrid: WFH + On-Site)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a civil engineering/construction background to support and lead projects in the San Diego area. This is a hybrid role combining remote work with regular on-site project presence.
This position is ideal for a self-driven, independent professional who thrives in a less structured environment and can take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Manage civil engineering and construction projects from planning through completion
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Ensure compliance with local regulations, permitting, and safety requirements
Conduct site visits and provide on-site project oversight as needed
Identify and resolve project risks and issues proactively
Prepare and present project updates and reports
Maintain strong client relationships and support business growth
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of project management experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects
Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with San Diego market, codes, and permitting processes
Experience with SDUSD (San Diego Unified School District) projects is a strong plus, but not required
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Hybrid role:
Work from home + on-site project visits
Flexible structure with high autonomy
No formal office setting currently - ideal for someone comfortable operating independently
Base salary: ~$125,000 (flexible depending on experience)
