Join a growing national construction firm as an Electrical Preconstruction Manager – Federal Projects, leading electrical preconstruction strategy for impactful government and defense construction projects. This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to support major design-build pursuits, collaborate with experienced estimating and operations teams, and help shape electrical preconstruction best practices while enjoying a flexible hybrid work arrangement.
Electrical Preconstruction Manager – Federal Projects Benefits & Compensation- Competitive salary up to $145K annually

- 10+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry
- 5+ years in electrical preconstruction, estimating, or project management
- Proven track record with Department of Defense and NAVFAC vertical construction projects
- Strong background in design-build project delivery
- Experience with conceptual estimating and managing full electrical scopes
- Proficiency with preconstruction tools such as Bluebeam, P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Mc Cormick , or similar
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and satisfy DoD clearance requirements
- Willingness to travel for project needs
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting large, complex government construction projects over $35M
- Familiarity with electrical, telecommunications, and data systems design
- Lead electrical preconstruction efforts for multiple projects and major government pursuits
- Oversee electrical scope development, budgeting, design coordination, and scheduling
- Partner with Estimating, Operations, and leadership to refine project strategy and ensure successful execution
- Develop conceptual budgets and manage electrical and low-voltage/data system planning
- Guide procurement strategies and long-lead equipment planning
- Identify risks, drive value engineering, and lead constructability reviews
- Mentor and develop preconstruction team members while implementing process improvements
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense standards, NAVFAC requirements, and project best practices
